Over the past 12 months, Australian Security Fencing have been working on a large critical infrastructure upgrade project in Wallumbilla, QLD with our commercial installation partner – Fencepac.
As part of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act, which came into effect in 2018 – utilities providers across the country have begun to partake in physical upgrade programs to mitigate the risks associated with their assets becoming degraded or rendered unavailable for an extended period. The impacts of which would significantly affect the social or economic wellbeing of the nation and it’s ability to conduct business efficiently.
Designed, engineered and manufactured in-house by ASF and constructed/installed by Fencepac, the project is nearing commissioning stage and has been a huge success.
Utilising our high-security 358 weldmesh ‘Securemax’ in lieu of existing, rundown chainwire fencing to ensure maximum security from would-be intruders or vandals. The project was over 1km total of 358 fencing, with a wide variety of pedestrian gates, double swing gates and automated sliding vehicle gates – all manufactured by ASF, in-house in our South Windsor manufacturing facility.
